At Bear Creek, we manage our wing shooting areas especially for bobwhite quail in order to provide food and cover for the birds as well as challenging shooting for the hunter. As a licensed hunting preserve, our quail season runs from October 15 through March 31. We are open Monday through Saturday and look forward to sharing the excitement of this southern tradition with our customers. We offer half and whole day quail hunts with experienced guides and well-trained dogs.

Experience the excitement of a covey rise and the thrill of watching trained bird dogs at work on land managed for bobwhite quail. We offer hunts for every age and ability; from the seasoned hunter to those that are on their first quail hunt. Hunters can use our specially fitted John Deere Gators, making walking long distances through rough terrain unnecessary. Half-day hunts usually last about 3-4 hours, and include your guide, dogs, and a 12-bird limit. We begin our hunts at 8:30 and usually finish up around 11:30 or 12:00 for half day hunts. Whole day hunts have the same start time and we break for lunch around noon. We continue the hunt as soon as all are rested and ready to go, usually about 45 minutes to 1 hour. The afternoon hunt is usually completed around 3:30 or 4:00 P.M. Whole day hunts include guide, dogs, lunch and 20-bird limit. Additional birds may be harvested for a fee. We also offer hunt-on-your-own packages for those who would rather use their own dogs on a designated area.

Kennel facilities are available for the hunter who desires to bring his bird dogs. These special arrangements need to be made in advance. Bear Creek offers our facilities for the off season training of your bird dogs. Please call for inquiries and rates.
